Our first appointment occurred in the presence of the Domaine du Bourrian owner, who is an architect and interior designer, and of the engineer in charge of the building work and management on the wine estate.

The two women were looking for the skills of our research consultancy and our cabinetmaking to carry out their project concerning the restaurant, which is also a room used for wine presentation and tasting around the bar.

The piece of furniture for the presentation of wine was unusually big and mixing metal and wood. It had to include an important storage space, shelves to display backlit bottles and a video screen showing the particularities of the Domaine du Bourrian.                   All was achieved according to the client’s design.

We had never made such a large-sized piece of furniture, so we had to solve technical challenges : the assembly of different parts, the backlighting of bottles, their weight, etc.. As for the bar, it was made of a combination of metal with a patina and arched wood.

We were then consulted for the design and achievement of a huge glass balustrade overlooking the original tun room.                                                                                                    This mix of contemporary and traditional styles has turned the space into a peaceful and bright place.
